Smoked Salmon and Wasabi Cream Cheese Bites


INGREDIENTS

Mix 4 ounces softened cream cheese with 1 teaspoon (1 1/4 teaspoons for more kick) wasabi powder, 2 teaspoons lemon juice, and 1 tablespoon sour cream.

DIRECTIONS

Taste and adjust seasonings. Spread a thin layer of the mixture onto 4 ounces of smoked salmon slices, cut in rectangles. Roll up and slice into 3/4 -inch rounds. Place each round on a peeled cucumber slice, and if desired, garnish top with salmon caviar.
Makes about 20 bites.

For easier slicing, wrap rolls in plastic wrap and freeze for 1 hour before cutting.

Variation: Replace wasabi with 1 tablespoon chopped dill.
